The Council for Indian Certificate Examinations announced the results for Classes 10 (ICSE) and Class 12 (ISC), on Monday, 18th May 2015. This year, the ISC exams were conducted from February 9 and concluded on April 1, while the ICSE exams were held between February 26 and March 30.
Upon analysis of the ICSE Results 2015, it was seen that the overall pass percentage for ICSE is 98.49%, and 96.28% for ISC. This year the topper from ICSE is Arka Chatterjee (99.75%), from Vivekanand Mission School, Kolkata. The ISC topper is Rupal Goel (99%) of Holy Child school, Ghaziabad. A total of 71,141 students (38,659 boys, 32,482 girls) appeared for ISC this year. This year 1,59,738 students registered for the ICSE examinations from India and abroad, out of which 29,903 were from Bengal.

Council for The Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is a private education board in India. It conducts the ICSE and ISC examinations every year in India and abroad. Established in 1952, at an All India Certificate Examinations Conference. The main purpose of the Conference was to consider the replacement of the overseas Cambridge School Certificate Examination by an All India Examination. This set the agenda for the establishment of the Council.
